RF Engineer
Overview
Field Theory is seeking an experienced Radio-Frequency (RF) Engineer to join our growing team of engineers. This position requires 5+ years of experience and is not entry level. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual, willing to work in a fast-paced environment and skilled at handling multiple projects at any given time. This is a full-time position with a competitive market salary based upon experience (estimated total compensation range of $100k-$140k). The position is only offered as fully onsite. We offer a robust benefit package including paid time off, healthcare and 401k benefits.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ practical experience in product development
- Able to work on US Government Contracts which require US Citizenship
- Exhibit strong skills in design and development of RF low noise amplifiers (LNA), RF power amplifiers (PA), RF frequency synthesizer analysis / design (PLLs), RF impedance matching (Smith charts), RF filter design, switching power supplies, embedded microcontrollers and associated interfacing (I2C, SPI, UART), FPGA-based systems
- Proficiency with RF signal budget analysis for system level metrics such as gain, noise figure, and power
- Experience in RF subsystems with an understanding of architecture, design and integration processes
- Experience with PCB layout (Proficiency in Altium preferred), front-end design, and stack-up
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with capability of troubleshooting and resolving desense noise issues as well as ability to quickly adapt and learn from frequent setbacks (e.g., down to CCA and component levels)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to details as well as being self-driven and exceptionally organized
- Skilled in use of microwave test equipment such as vector network analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, noise sources, multimeter, and signal sources (Also prefer knowledge of anechoic antenna chambers)
- Ability to solder small components
- Collaboration with a cross-functional team and external clients
- Independently lead a project from start to full execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on electromagnetics
- Background in antenna design and development
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as MATLAB or Python
- Working knowledge of circuit simulation software (i.e. ADS, CST, HFSS)

Senior Mechanical Engineer
Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and help drive our next generation of product development. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings structure and rigor to complex problems, and has a proven track record of taking products from concept through production. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams — design, electrical, manufacturing, and quality — to develop innovative, manufacturable, and reliable mechanical solutions. What You'll Do
• Lead mechanical design and development efforts across the full product lifecycle, from concept through production release
• Design, analysis, and validation of mechanical components, assemblies, and antenna systems
• Conduct tolerance analysis, FEA, and DFM/DFA reviews to ensure designs are robust and manufacturable
• Build and test prototypes with 3D printers, LPKF, and hand modifications
• Troubleshoot issues and drive root-cause investigations
• Collaborate with electrical, firmware, industrial design, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
• Create and maintain detailed CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and design documentation
• Support supplier selection, DFM feedback, and production ramp-up
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and process improvements
What We're Looking For
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong history of designing products from concept to production
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (advanced degree a plus)
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and strong GD&T fundamentals
• Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal, machining, casting, etc.), and DFM principles
• Experience with FEA and other simulation/analysis tools
• Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC), test rig development, and MIL Standards
• Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous, undefined problems independently
• Highly organized and structured approach to project and time management
• Exceptional attention to detail, especially in documentation, tolerancing, and design reviews
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment with shifting priorities
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating cross-functionally
• A hands-on mindset — comfortable in the lab or on the shop floor, not just at a desk
Nice to Have
• Experience with regulated or highly reliable product categories (medical, aerospace, automotive, consumer hardware)
• Knowledge of antenna theory
• Background mentoring or leading small project teams

Field Theory is seeking a Senior Antenna and RF Engineer to join our growing team of engineers. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual, willing to work in a fast-paced environment and skilled at handling multiple projects at any given time. This is a full-time position with a competitive market salary based upon experience (estimated range of $70k-$150k). The position is only offered as fully onsite. We offer a robust benefit package including paid time off, healthcare, and 401k benefits.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years practical experience in product development
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with capability of troubleshooting as well as ability to quickly adapt and learn from frequent setbacks (e.g., down to CCA and component levels)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High-attention to details as well as being self-driven and exceptionally organized
- Exhibits ability for performing novel antenna designs and engineering support throughout a product life cycle
- Experience in RF subsystems with an understanding of architecture, design and integration processes
- Skilled in use of RF test equipment as well as anechoic antenna chambers
- Ability to solder small components
- Proficiency in software programs including but not limited to Altium, CST, XFdtd and programming language such as MATLAB or Python
- Experience with front-end design, PCB layout, stack-up
- Collaboration with a cross-functional team and external clients
- Independently lead a project from start to full execution
